Feruz in my kitchen, 1995
My Kitchen
This painting portrays the kitchen of my family home—a place filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories.
It was here that some of the happiest years of my youth unfolded. Family meals were prepared with care, loved ones gathered around the table, laughter filled the room, and long conversations brought everyone together.
This is also where my son, Feruz, spent his early childhood. He was an energetic and curious little boy who was fascinated by everything around him. One of his greatest joys was coming into the kitchen for a cup of fresh milk.
Sadly, this kitchen no longer exists. Many of the people who once filled it with laughter, conversation, and warmth are no longer with us. Yet they remain alive in my memories, just as this place does.
Through this painting, I wanted to preserve not only the kitchen itself, but also the love, the atmosphere, and the precious moments we shared there. Although time has passed and much has changed, art allows these memories to live on.
For me, this painting is a tribute to my family, to those who are no longer with us, and to the simple moments of everyday life that become our most treasured memories.
